We meet Denis Motlatla, who talks through his ongoing struggles with the State Departments of Health and Home Affairs, each of which had failed him at critical points in his life. Denis’ experience highlights the profound challenges faced by transgender and intersex people when attempting to access basic and crucial civic services.
