This is, of course, ridiculous. That doesn't mean it's bad. The premise is just very ludicrous and the movie leans into it very heavily. At times maybe too heavily. For being such an effect heavy movie, it probably could have spent a bit more on its effects, but I think it looks good enough, although some pieces of effect work is a bit jarring.
