Every adventure begins with a dream.
13-year-old Nate Foster has big Broadway dreams but there’s only one problem — he can’t even land a part in the school play. When his parents leave town, Nate and his best friend Libby sneak off to the Big Apple for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to prove everyone wrong. This has one really fantastic musical number in it, the rest of the film ranges from “alright” to “pretty good”. Kinda felt like it didn’t live up to its cinematic potential in a lot of its technical areas but the performances and direction are solid! Mostly left me a bit disappointed that we didn’t get something that much better, because there’s lots to like here.
