The Man Who Thought Life Synopsis

The mysterious Mr. Steinmetz has acquired the ability to create things and beings by will alone. Only, after a while his creations invariably disappear. He therefore approaches a famous brain surgeon, Max Holst, who he hopes can help him with this problem. When Max refuses, Steinmetz brings his doppelgänger into being to replace him.

Very Twilight Zone This reminds me of several renditions of episodes of The Twilight Zone, both the classical and the remakes. The tone is very much the same, and the lack of consistent rules other than the whims of the antagonist makes for a suitably tense and scary situation for our hero. The movie has aged well and has done its special effects well enough so that you can enjoy them even now. Which might be rarer…
